Part I (The Basics) offers a self-contained introduction to quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and chemical kinetics that requires no more than a basic background in college calculus. Part II (Tools) covers microscopy, single molecule manipulation and measurement, nanofabrication, and self-assembly.
