內容簡介

　　本套英文版教材的編寫結閤國傢衛生和計劃生育委員會、教育部的總體要求，堅持“三基、五性、三特定”的原則，組織全國各大醫學院校、教學醫院的專傢編寫，主要特點如下：
　　1.教材編寫應教學之需啓動，在全國範圍進行瞭廣泛、深入調研和論證，藉鑒國內外醫學人纔培養模式和教材建設經驗，對主要讀者對象、編寫模式、編寫科目、編者遴選條件等進行瞭科學設計。2.堅持“三基、五性、三特定”和“多級論證”的教材編寫原則，組織全國各大醫學院校及教學醫院有豐富英語教學經驗的專傢一起編寫，以保證高質量齣版。
　　3.為保證英語錶達的準確性和規範性，大部分教材以國外英文原版教科書為藍本，根據我國教學大綱和人民衛生齣版社臨床醫學專業第八輪規劃教材主要內容進行改編，充分體現科學性、適用性和實用性。
　　4.教材內部各環節閤理設置，根據讀者對象的特點，在英文原版教材的基礎上結閤需要，增加本章小結、關鍵術語（英中對照）、思考題、推薦閱讀等模塊，促進學生自主學習。

前言/序言

　　Medical immunology is an independent discipline which plays a major role in both basic research and clinical application of medical science. In the course of mankind's fight with disease， we have gradually realized that our bodies contain an immune system that performs immune defense， surveillance， and hemostasis. Medical immunology， in its modern form， is also an experimental saence in which explanations of immunologic phenomena are based on experimental observations and the conclusions drawn from them. The development of medical immunology is changing rapidly， broadening in scope and gaining relerrance to a number of fields.
　　Many new concepts and theories have expanded on or overturned previously held views， various newly discovered diseases have their basis in the immune system， and the intersection between immunology and emerging disaplines is expanding quickly.
　　We selected Cellular and Molecular Immunology from among a variety of English-language medical immunology textbooks based on its novel content and straightforward language suitable for the field of biosaence， particularly for medical students. We have made some adjustments to the text based on Cluna's textbooks and curricula. For example， we combined the differentiation and function chapters of CD4+ and CD8+ effector T cells to mirror the structure of the B cell section.ln a dition， we separated the'MHC and APC chapters in order to give MHC an equal emphasis， and split up the content of the immune receptor and signal transduction chapter to disperse it across multiple chapters and reinforce the idea where relevant. We added the chapter of Immunoprophylaxis and Immunotherapy for the potential of clinical application. Most importantly， we edited the textbook for concision， but retained the summary that follows each.chapter， increased the number of Chinese terminology translations， and included additional review questions and reference websites. The textbook is now tailored to Chinese teaching technuques， evaluation methods， and studying habits.
