作者簡介

作者Arthur Conan Doyle（阿瑟·柯南·道爾 1859-1930）自認為是一名嚴肅的英國學者，然而讓他終享大名的是他筆下塑造的福爾摩斯係列小說。他曾是醫科學生齣身，福爾摩斯的原形正是來自他在醫學院的一位教授，後者根據人物的穿著、神態等，便可判斷其職業與經曆等。在近四十餘年的創作福爾摩斯的小說生涯中，柯南·道爾共寫瞭56篇短篇及4部中篇。福爾摩斯的形象已成為文學中的永恒經典。
