語言學的經典著作，但即使是外行看起來也不算費勁，也能作為一部很好的科普讀物。作者行文輕鬆幽默，深入淺齣，越看越有趣，是一次非常享受的閱讀體驗。這本書就應該看英文原版的。書比較厚，而拿在手上比較輕巧，裝幀印刷都很精美。
