動畫要選擇適閤孩子的程度，有吸引力，循序漸進的片子。用於精讀的動畫片後續輔助資源也很重要，如音頻與繪本供應不上會使傢長很辛苦。另外程度太低，或反復重復的片子如米奇妙妙屋，朵拉並不適閤。

有時候孩子會要求先看動畫後讀，我也不勉強，先看後讀要多讀一本書，讓孩子自己選擇。有時候孩子會看到緊要關頭難以自拔，要多看一集動畫，我也不勉強，隻要孩子用閱讀補償。讓孩子自己體會付齣與迴報，學習判讀與抉擇。

我采用的方法是每天讀20分鍾繪本，就可以獲得20分鍾動畫奬勵。要求朗讀而不是默讀。能自然拼讀過去的不強求，讀錯一點也沒關係，讀不齣來的要查字典。
