Andrew Lost #13: In the Garbage [平裝] [6-9歲] pdf epub mobi txt 電子書 下載 2024
Andrew, Judy, and Thudd have time-traveled out of an ice age only to find themselves shrunk down and tossed out with the garbage! As they get up close and personal with half-eaten hog dogs, soggy pasta, and old fruit rinds, they'll learn about the stinky--but oh-so-necessary!--process of decomposition. Kids, parents, and teachers love this series--kids for all its gooey grossness, and teachers and parents for all the fun science and great discussion points!

"Andrew Lost books are gross and disgusting. That's why we like them."
--The Washington Post
"A young inventor's contest is the creative motivation behind the invention of Goa. Andrew is ten years old and excited about his entry in the contest. He is sure he will be a winner when people see just what the Goa Constrictor can do. In case you are wondering, Goa stands for Garbage Goes Away. The characters are both fun and believable—Thudd, a super-smart robot, is Andrew's best friend, and Judy his thirteen-year-old cousin. The three of them decide to demonstrate the abilities of Goa and are accidentally swallowed and shrunk to the size of beetles! After being transported to the dump by a garbage truck, they are trapped in a neighborhood of thousands of worms. Picturesque exclamations, such as "Ack," "AAAAAAAck," "Ga-nuff," "Klunketa," and "Yaaaaargh," make this a super book to read aloud. Illustrations found throughout the book are fun and add to the story. The adventure takes them to places and situations that add much humor and absolutely delightful "yucky" entertainment to the pages of this book. Can you imagine having your nose sucked by a worm or wondering if you will end up as bird poop? Kids are going to love this book! The author does a great job in introducing his characters, has great chapter titles, and adds "True Stuff" at the end of the book, giving information about garbage and pollution. Best of all, the last three pages of the book are a sneak peek of the next adventure entitled Andrew Lost With The Bats. If you do not own this book, you have to buy it!"
