Children's Literature Love is used to identify emotions, things, experiences and more in this "Pet & Play Book." Each of the scenes has something to touch or pet since the story revolves around Biscuit, a pet dog. His mistress explains that love can be a soft blanket, like the one that her cat Daisy is sharing with her kittens, and there is a soft fuzzy pink spot on the blanket to touch. Love is also the fun they have making cookies with Dad or watching grandma knit a sweater and the cookies and the wool all have textures to run little fingers across. It ends with hugs and kisses that Biscuit shares. The pictures will be familiar to those who have enjoyed the other books about Biscuit, but the story is a bit on the thin side.
