作者簡介

Kathryn Lasky is the American author of many critically acclaimed books, including several "Dear America" books, several "Royal Diaries" books, 1984 "Newbery Honor" winning Sugaring Time, "The Night Journey," and the "Guardians of Ga'hoole" series. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Her next book, The Golden Tree, is set to be out in March 2007. She is married to Chris Night and lives in Boston, Massachusetts.

最近孩子們的至愛瞭，貓武士原版難度較高，中文都還讀不瞭呢，隻能講。這貓頭鷹原版倒是能讀瞭，能拒絕嗎？估計沒有孩子在聽過貓頭鷹的故事後會不喜歡的。傢有孩子的必藏書。

貓頭鷹一旦判斷齣獵物的方位，便迅速齣擊。貓頭鷹的羽毛非常柔軟，翅膀羽毛上有天鵝絨般密生的羽絨，因而貓頭鷹飛行時産生的聲波頻率小於1韆赫，而一般哺乳動物耳朵是感覺不到那麼低的頻率的。這樣無聲的齣擊使貓頭鷹的進攻更有“閃電戰”的效果。據研究，貓頭鷹在撲擊獵物時，它的聽覺仍起定位作用。它能根據獵物移動時産生的響動，不斷調整撲擊方嚮，最後齣爪，一舉奏效。
