在一個山榖裏，有三個飼養場，主人博吉斯、邦斯和比恩都是有錢人。他們是三個卑鄙、小氣的飼養場主。山榖上方的小山上還住著狐狸一傢：狐狸爸爸、狐狸太太和四個可愛的小狐狸。他們過著快樂的生活。狐狸爸爸很聰明，總能輕而易舉地獲取飼養場的雞鴨鵝、火雞、蘋果酒以及其它食物。三個壞蛋發現他們的東西在丟失，於是開始聯手對付狐狸，企圖將他們一網打盡。 　　
有一天，那三個傢夥決定把狐狸爸爸除掉，一場智慧和力量的較量開始瞭！他們先是拿著槍，陰險地守在狐狸先生的洞外。他們用獵槍射擊狐狸爸爸，狐狸爸爸丟失瞭一條尾巴。再下來，他們用鐵鍬挖洞。最後他們又找來瞭掘土機。在一個又一個迴閤的較量中，狐狸爸爸都憑藉著聰明和智慧化險為夷。他挖瞭一條通往三個倉庫的安全通道，帶領獾、兔子、鼴鼠、鼬鼠建造瞭一個屬於動物們的城市。通過條條隧道，他們從農場裏取得瞭大量的食物，開瞭一場盛大的慶功宴，而那三個傢夥卻還愚蠢地守在洞口。可惜的是，他們守株待兔的結果，隻得到一條尾巴。

作者簡介

Roald Dahl was born in 1916 in Wales of Norwegian parents. He began writing after a 'monumental bash on the head', sustained as an RAF pilot during WW2. Roald Dahl is one of the most successful and well-known of all children's writers. His books include CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY, THE BFG and MATILDA. Roald Dahl died in 1990 at the age of seventy-four.
Roald Dahl (1916-1990) was born in Wales of Norwegian parents. He spent his childhood in England and, at age eighteen, went to work for the Shell Oil Company in Africa. When World War II broke out, he joined the Royal Air Force and became a fighter pilot. At the age of twenty-six he moved to Washington, D.C., and it was there he began to write. His first short story, which recounted his adventures in the war, was bought by The Saturday Evening Post, and so began a long and illustrious career.
After establishing himself as a writer for adults, Roald Dahl began writing children’s stories in 1960 while living in England with his family. His first stories were written as entertainment for his own children, to whom many of his books are dedicated.
Roald Dahl is now considered one of the most beloved storytellers of our time. Although he passed away in 1990, his popularity continues to increase as his fantastic novels, including James and the Giant Peach, Matilda, The BFG, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, delight an ever-growing legion of fans.
