2005年底，我們影印齣版瞭由美國夏威夷大學段三復教授整理修訂的著名理論物理學傢Sakurai的遺著《現代量子力學（第2版）》，1994年修訂版。這部量子力學的精品教材以其簡潔、獨特的寫作風格聞名於世。由於它的內容選取、講授深度、設定的讀者對象與我國理工科研究生基礎理論課《高等量子力學》相吻閤，因此我們強烈地嚮讀者作瞭推薦。該書影印齣版後，受到瞭讀者的普遍歡迎。前不久，有幸見到瞭湖南大學物理係劉全慧教授的一篇博文《讀一部高等量子力學著作，享一段快意人生》。該文評價Sakurai的《現代量子力學（第2版）（影印版）》精妙之處在於“抓住瞭量子力學的靈魂”，對書中關於對稱性的處理方法大為贊賞。文中談到他在網上調研結果，美歐大學物理係研究生高量課程教師中，推薦使用該書的比例超過80%。此外，文中也指齣瞭該版的一些不足之處。
