评分##Classical liberalism，有很多点都非常值得深究（公民有哪些美德&为什么公民的私德能“推”及公德）btw Mill的语言一点也不简洁清晰啊（时隔两年再读觉得除了爱举宗教的例子外，写的还挺清晰明了，是不是之后也能读懂马克思了？：）这次读的中心放在natural penalty&tyranny of public opinion上，觉得Mill还是没能给出一个让我信服的界定。时至今日，当externality（戴口罩，环境污染，社交媒体）的问题愈发明显&紧急，政治哲学上似乎还没给出一个对策，值得花时间好好思考
评分##似乎还是有点高估了自己的英文能力。好些问题得到解答，更多篇章值得再仔细推敲，最有趣的片段是结尾讨论放弃自由的自由，与国家和教育议题了。。
评分我一向喜歡Mill寫東西條理清晰結構嚴謹；這本書我花了一個多月翻來覆去讀了五遍。Liberty感觉要比同為代表作的Utilitarianism更细致也更深刻，充分展現了嚴密的邏輯性和嚴苛的理性；即使在三十多年後的今天對於如今一些叫囂著需要平等自由卻不動腦子只會起哄的人應該有著深遠的教育意義。
